UPSC geologist exam application form

UPSC has issued detail application form (DAF) for geologists exam 2016. The registrations starts from 21st July 2016 to 29th July 2016. You have to present the print copy of DAF, original documents and photocopies and the time of interview. The interview will be held in the month of August 2016.

Still, we always advise the candidate to enroll themselves earlier than the last date. In this way, candidates get ample time to prepare for the exam along with making other adjustments with respect to their schedule.

What documents do I need to apply for Geo Scientists & Geologists Exam?

A candidate is requested to have 3 essential things ready with him/ her for the purpose of registering online. They are:

  • A facility to make online payments- Debit card, credit card, Net banking facility, etc.
  • A scanned photo of the candidate (passport size) whose file size should be in between 3 KB to 40 KB.
  • A scanned photo of the candidate’s signature whose file size should be in between 1 KB to 40 KB.

Step 1- UPSC Website

To start, a candidate needs to visit the official website of UPSC where registrations are taking place. For this, just type on the address bar and hit the enter key. Within a matter of minutes, you would be redirected to the official page of UPSC.

Step 2- Application link

Once you visit the website, there would be two prominent links mentioned in blue color. Among these, choose the first link which states ‘Online Application’. After selecting the first link, wait for the new page to appear, where a list of exams would be mentioned whose online application are being accepted.

Step 3- Part I Registration

When you the name of your exam under the “Examination” column, click on the respective Part I Registration column. Followed by scrolling down on the new page and clicking on the ‘Yes’ tab. Then a new registration form will appear which is known as Part I Registration. Fill it up and click on the ‘I Agree’ button to generate your Registration number.

Step 4 – Part II Registration

After completing the Part I registration, you will get a registration number from the department in your mentioned email address and mobile phone number. Use the same to unlock Part II Registration. Once the Part II Registration has been unlocked, upload your photograph and scanned signature along with other necessary details.

Step 5- Make Payment

The final step is to make online payment. Alternatively, you can also get a challan and deposit the same in the nearest bank as mentioned in the notification. Upon receipt of the payment, the UPSC will give you an intimation regarding the success of your online application for Geo Scientists & Geologists Exam 2016.
