Update on 12 June 2016: UPSC today held Combined Medical Service (CMS) exam i.e. 12 June 2016. The written exam was held through computer mode on 41 exam centres across country. What documents do I need to view my CMS Result 2016?

You do not need any document for viewing your CMS result. The department of UPSC has maintained transparency in operations by letting the result be open to all. Any person can visit the website and can view the result. However, in order to know the candidate’s qualification status, a person need to know his roll number.

How to view CMS Results online?

Any person who has the basic knowledge of computers can view CMS results online. All that a candidate needs is a good internet connection and a computer. The following steps will help a candidate get his results with the help of few clicks.

Step 1- UPSC’s website
Results are always available on the official website of UPSC. Hence, as a candidate, you will be first required to visit the official website of UPSC. Typing www.upsc.gov.in on the internet browser and hitting the enter button will take you to the official website of UPSC.

Step 2- Find Result link

As you enter the website of UPSC, you will find a lot links on the page. The section which will offer you the desired link is the right hand side of the web page. Click on the link which states results for CMS Exam 2016.

You may find it difficult to get the link in the bunch. Therefore, you can use the find option on the webpage by pressing CTRL + F keys on the keyboard. This will open a find tab where you can insert the word ‘result’ to have your choices simplified. Once you get your link, click on it.

Step 3- Locate your roll number

The moment you click on the link, you will be taken to a new page where the roll number of qualified candidates would be present. In that list, try and find your roll number. If your name is not present in the list, then unfortunately, you may not have qualified for the next round.

What is next?

Once you have qualified for the next round, you can wait for your call letter/ admit card to appear on UPSC’s website. This time the admit card would be in respect of the personality test.

Can I review my paper?

There is no option with a candidate to review his paper. The decision made by the UPSC Authority is final and cannot be questioned. The department reserves exclusive rights to select the candidates based on its selection procedure.
