#Tip 1- Focus on speed

The CHSL exam is easy and full of objective type questions. What a candidate needs to focus upon is his speed in solving those problems. With 200 questions on offer, it will be a tough task for a candidate to complete all of them within the allotted 2 hours. Therefore, the best way to deal with these questions is to increase the speed while solving answers and the best to increase the speed is regular practice.

#Tip 2- Dedicate time for General Awareness

General Awareness is often the loophole for 80% of the candidates. Dedicating 1hour on a daily basis is sufficient for general awareness. During this time, a candidate can take a look at the recent events, research, Indian economy, etc.

#Tip 3- Basic English is important

When it comes to handling the English section, candidates who have a good base in English are able to score freely. This is because most of the questions from this section intends to ask questions based on the basics of English such as use of preposition, adjectives, adverbs, etc.  A candidate can easily score a lot of marks in this section if he is well aware of the basic terminologies of the English language. If not, then solving workbooks for English (Class XII standard) will help the candidate to develop a good potential.

#Tip 4- Attempt questions from all sections

The CHSL exam focuses upon testing various perspectives of a candidate. When a candidate is answering the question paper, he has to solve questions from all the sections. Therefore, when you are studying, devote time to each subject.

#Tip 5- Follow previous year’s question paper

A common way of preparing for CHSL exam 2016 is to solve the existing question papers. Previous years questions paper (2015, 2014, 2013, etc.) will help a candidate to learn about the structure of the paper and the standard of the paper. Mock test papers are also useful in the present context. Many a times it has happened that there has been common questions in between mock test paper and the actual exam paper.

#Tip 6- Smart preparation is the key

The most important factor for preparation is its way. You need smart preparation for this exam. If you are not good in some areas, say mensuration, then you can afford to neglect those chapters and move ahead with other chapters. However, you need to ensure that you are covering it up by strengthening other areas, say algebra. In this way you will nullify the impact of leaving out chapters under the sections.

There are about 200 questions in the paper and allotted time is only 120 minutes. Hence, focus on answering questions from all sections, rather than showing your excellence in just one and leaving out all the rest.
