Simultaneously the candidate must complete their mandatory internship and should hold a post graduate degree or diploma in any of the specialty as mentioned either in section A or section B of schedule – I. Salary Packages of Medical Officers in Govt. Sectors: The job of a medical officer in government sector gets quite a decent job as the pay package initially starts at Rs 15600 and goes up to Rs 39100 per month. This was the basic pay, other fringe benefits like TA, DA, HR allowances, pension, provident fund and many other benefits are also provided to the employees of medical in any government organization. Leaving the basic pay and other benefits the candidates also get a grade pay which is subjected to be around Rs 660 per month.

Responsibilities: The importance of a medical officer has always been worldwide. Their responsibility starts from diagnosing of the various diseases of the patients to the proper treatment of the patients – the officer has to keep themselves involved in every step of the treatment in the process of taking essential care of the patient. Moreover, during the treatment period also it is the responsibility of the medical officers to monitor the patient’s response to the prescribed drugs and to make the required changes ( if any ) according to the responses of the patient so as to provide him the best required treatment for his early recovery.
