As we all are aware that the 10th Edition of CTET Exam will be held on 18 September 2016, the candidate must be looking forward to check the eligibility criteria so that they can be reassured and apply for the post. Before we begin, we must inform you that there are two Papers, namely, Paper I and Paper II. Both the paper have different requirements and candidate needs to satisfy both the eligibility norms in order to be a valid candidate for both the post.
Eligibility Criteria for Paper I under CTET Exam 2016
As per the official notification, there are 5 different kind of qualifications which a candidate can possess inorder to become a teacher of Class I to V. The following scope is given below.
Option 1- The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary with 50% marks or is currently appearing in the second year of 2 –year Diploma in EE (Elementary Education).
Option 2- The candidate mist have passed Senior Secondary with 45% marks and is currently appearing in the second year of 2 -year Diploma under NCTE Regulations 2002.
Option 3- The candidate mist have passed Senior Secondary with 50% marks and is currently appearing in the fourth year of 4 -year B.Ed (Bachelor of Elementary Education).
Option 4- The candidate must have passed Senior Secondary with 50% marks or is currently appearing in the second year of 2 –year Diploma in SE (Special Education).
Option 5- The candidate must be a graduate and is currently appearing in the second year of a 2-year Diploma in EE or has already passed it.
Eligibility Criteria for Paper II under CTET Exam 2016
For candidates who wish to appear for Paper II, the bars have become a little higher for them. However, they too receive numerous options in order to become a valid candidate for this exam. The requirements are given below:
Option 1- A graduate candidate who is appearing in the 2nd year of Diploma in Elementary Education or who has already obtained such degree.
Option 2- A graduate with 50% and is appearing in the 2nd year of B. Ed or already passed B. Ed.
Option 3- A graduate with 45% and is appearing in the 1st year of B. Ed under NCTE.
Option 4- A candidate who has passed Senior Secondary with 50% and is appearing in the 4th year of 4-year B. El. Ed (Bachelor in Elementary Education)
Option 5- A candidate who has passed Senior Secondary with 50% and is appearing in final year of B. Sc./ B.A.Ed or B. Sc. Ed / B.A. Ed.
Option 6- A graduate with 50% and is appearing in the 1st year of B.Ed SE (Special Education)
It should be noted that both these papers are in respect of different classes. A candidate can appear for both the papers, provided the eligibility criteria is satisfied under both the cases. The duration of each paper is for two and half hours and is held on the same date and venue.
